CATARACT BLINDNESS ALLEVIATION PROJECT DOCUMENTARY
This video documentary serves as the project completion report for the “Cataract Blindness Alleviation Project in Priority Areas of all Provinces of Nepal,” executed by MITRA Samaj with financial support from Standard Chartered Bank under itsCorporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.
The objective of the project was to identify cases of avoidable blinding diseases, including cataract among the hard-to-reach population, especially 50+ years, in priority areas of all provinces of Nepal and improve their vision and restore their eyesight to improve their quality of life by organizing free Outreach Micro Surgical Eye Clinics (OMSEC).
Our team also produced a video featuring a beneficiary who received the treatment, capturing her reaction and heartfelt expression after the surgery.
